my half-baked projects - spared cold storage exile
This is a terrain I made in Unity, the height-map is a smooth
approximation to the Mariana trench. I display different optimisation
algorithms searching coordinates to minimise the height. The
algorithms in the video are: ABC (Artificial Bee Colony), Gradient Descent,
Adam (ADAptive Momentum estimation), Gibbs Sampling and Metropolis
Hastings.
A number of the projects below are still in progress, or failed, or incomplete but I present them here so others can take inspiration from them. It's also useful as a project log for me.
